Summer Project Y2
During the Summer month we were given a brief about colour. We had to document our visual journey through summer and record these in our sketchbooks.

On the brief we were asked to create postcards in our specialist area from the drawings in our sketchbook. I had to utilise the equipment and facilities i had at home and these were my results. I used acrylic paint and water paint on calico and cotton, then hand stitched the detail on afterwards, i feel this worked to my advantage because i worked really well surprisingly. |

These images show the drawings in my sketchbook that had inspired my postcards during the summer. I have used a variety of techniques and medias including acrylic paint, water colour paint, fine writers, fabric, paper and coloured pencils. |

I used this page at the front of my sketchbook to outline what this sketchbook is, including the quote "every summer has its own story" as this summer is a new story to the last and it all would be recored visually in my sketchbook. |

When returning to college we were asked to create two more A4 sized samples that show development from the postcards. I used the same techniques and medias however i feel that they didn't work as well as the postcards did. If i was to do these again i would change it by putting more thought and detail into them like my postcards. |
