City Project

It's deadline day!!!😁
Finally finished my concertina book full of experiments and samples! I'm quite pleased his it's all progressed and I feel I have related back to my inspired artists of Rob Ryan, Coulson Macleod, Three Red Apples and Claire Coles! It has been a journey however it was only a short project!

I looked at a variety of themes from the city. Including doors, windows, keys, birds, quotes and conversations!

Tuesday 11th March

Started to work on samples for my city project, aiming to fill a few pages in a concertina book of my samples that have developed from my primary drawings, I am looking at 4 artists but today I have focused on Rob Ryan, using my primary drawings and quotes collected from the city trips. I feel today has been successful because cutting away with a scalpel is very time consuming. I feel more organised as I have planned what I can do next and what needs to be done to other pages so yeah I'm feeling great! 😀

Tuesday 25th February

First day back after February half term and today's aims we're to go through sketchbooks and focus on my proposal explaining my ideas, intentions, medias, techniques and influences for the city project. I feel that going through the proposal it's helped me to think more about this project.
I took a look at other students sketchbooks to help influence my sketchbook drawings.
Today we have had a more understand about the VLE and how to access it also having a little noisey at other peoples blogs giving me ideas for my own.
After today I can reflect back to what I need to do now which is to continue more of primary drawings and update my proposal outlining more about the city project

Sampling!

Maps, wax doilies, elephants, pigs, hippos, patterns and paint!
Sampling for my current colour project I have focused on animals however making them fabric and lively!
Cute! For my samples I have layered my own background from stretched paper and paint then layered up with collaged maps and my pattern screen printed onto plastic for the final layer, not forgetting pretty doilies and lovely stuffed fabric animals!
